DocHub v5 - a massive frontend overhaul - is now released!
Today we're excited to release DocHub version 5! We've been working on this release for nearly an entire year, making it the largest single update we've ever deployed. This update includes:
Huge Frontend Code Update - We rewrote everything using typescript. We updated frameworks and migrated components (including making a huge shift to Ember Octane). These updates will allow us to rapidly develop future updates much more rapidly and with fewer errors.
UI Updated with Tailwind - Our components now make things look prettier, work more reliably and load faster. We are migrating away from Bootstrap and jQuery and once we've 100% wrapped up with the migration, we'll see an even bigger performance improvement.
Many Minor Updates - This update includes 10,000 commits updating 5,000 files and 100,000 lines of code. There are lots of minor improvements and fixes.

DocHub 4.0 released! We've rolled out a ton of backend and frontend updates of the last few months!
Although our release notes have been somewhat absent so far this year, we've been working harder than ever! We've patched bugs, tightened security, overhauled servers, updated frameworks, redesigned backend processes and much more. As a testament to the efficacy of our updates, we're now smashing past DocHub's previous traffic records; there are nearly 10,000 active users at this instant, all happily signing and editing PDFs.
Since our last release note, we've merged 250 pull requests and resolved as many issues. Here are a few of the highlights.
Last year Google launched a program to help improve the security of sites like DocHub which interact with various Google APIs. As part of the program, we hired an third party to come in and evaluate how we run things. We're happy to say they were unable to find any significant vulnerabilities and we passed the test! 🥇
To keep the hackers at bay, we've now investigated and tried may third party firewalls with DocHub. In addition to many other security measures, we've partnered with Sqreen which has done an excellent job preventing threats before they happen.
We've added improved virus scanning to check everything that comes through DocHub. So now anytime you download a file on DocHub a PDF on DocHub, you can feel secure.
DocHub now supports adding another layer of authentication to your DocHub account by adding text message verification or an authenticator app.

We're happy to announce we have a two more developers starting in September. Our new developers will focus on polishing up frontend workflows and making your DocHub experience pixel perfect.

DocHub v3.7.1 is a behind the screens update improves which improves the platform's security and compliance requirements.
We've updated several workflows to comply with increases in Google's security and compliance requirements. In particular, we've temporarily removed the attach to draft feature from the Send as Attachment modal. We plan to bring back an improved version of this feature early next year. We've been ramping up our security checklist to ensure your data is secure and to meet the highest level of compliance requirements. In addition to a significant internal audit, we've partnered with a third party to perform routine security audits of our site.
This release also resolves several minor bugs.

DocHub v3.6 - Introduces prefilling fields when sending sign requests, prettier release notes and more
DocHub version 3.6 adds the "Data Key" tag (aka: "Field Title") to form fields.
With the Data Key value assigned to fields, you can now prefill the textfields in a Sign Request before it gets to the signer. This feature is available when sending a sign request from a template. Additionally, the Data Key can be used to help label a field for a signer, export or audit trail.
We enhanced our release notes page to include images and our twitter release notes similarly.

DocHub v2.9.7 released! Adobe approved digital signature certification added!
You can now apply our Adobe approved digital signature certificate to certify the signatures or the contents of your document before saving or exporting. Simply select the "Certify document" option from the download menu to apply the signing certificate.
You can view the validity of the signatures by opening the PDFs using Adobe Acrobat. See image for an example.

DocHub v2.9.2! Significant sign request, iOS, and Safari bugs have been fixed.
This release resolves various significant bugs.
In certain instances, form field assignments and other role attributes were not being saved to document roles that had been newly created from within the sign request modal.
Some users noticed that upon clicking into certain fields under certain conditions, the content of the field would disappear. This issue is now resolved.
DocHub v2.9.1! You can now edit border thickness and character limits for form fields.
Toggle Field Manager, then select an existing field or create a new one. You'll now see options for modifying border thickness and character limits in the panel on the right.

We've updated the dialog box for creating and sending sign requests. The new layout clarifies the workflow a bit and resolves a few minor issues. Additionally, the new layout will allow us to add in additional Sign Request features going forward.
We've released an initial version of a feature which can batch export form field values from multiple documents in your dashboard to a CSV file.
Various improvements and fixes have been released related to inbound and outbound faxing.
Many other minor bugs or issues have also been resolved.
