
Girls on the Run Southern Idaho Twin Falls County Program Coordinator
Position Profile
The Twin Falls County Coordinator must possess a passion for and commitment to improving the lives and opportunities of
girls in 3rd through 8th grades. The Girls on the Run program provides a safe and interactive way to learn about healthy
living which includes an introduction and education on important topics such as goal-setting, cooperation, healthy
decision-making, and self-respect, while training for a 5K event. The innovative curriculum teaches girls to listen and open
up while also encouraging them to commit to a healthy lifestyle, and harness the inner strength that they possess. Our
important mission is accomplished by giving girls the tools to make positive choices for a healthy body and mind, while
reducing the many risks they face today.
The Twin Falls County Coordinator reports to the Girls on the Run Southern Idaho Executive Director. The Twin Falls County
Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the program in their territory. Some of the key
responsibilities falling within these areas are listed below.
County Coordinators will serve in the role for a minimum of one calendar year and agreement will be reviewed annually by
County Coordinator and GOTR Executive Director prior to renewal.
● Oversees GOTR programming in the county.
● Will attend meetings with the Executive Director as needed.
● Will attend a pre-season and mid-season coach meeting.
● Will attend, assist and lead coach training and 5K in their region. Training to become a certified
Coach Trainer will be provided. Must be willing to travel.
● Will assist the Executive Director with preparing coach bags.
● Will coordinate with the Executive Director in securing venue and food for regional coach
training.
● Will submit a final report that includes season reflections, expenditures with receipts and mileage
for reimbursement.
● Conducts site visits during the season to ensure the program is being delivered in a manner in
keeping with the GOTR mission and goals. Priority for site visits will be given to new sites and
sites with new coaching teams.
● Will respond to texts within 24 hours of receipt and emails within 48 hours on regular business
days.
● Will lead the coach recruiting efforts in the county and work towards coach retention.
● Coordinates with the Executive Director prior to season start (January for Spring season or
July/August for Fall Season) to acquire registration packets for sites.
● Communicates with coaches, site liaisons, parents and other key stakeholders in the county
regarding training, meetings and specific county – related information.
● Provides ongoing communication with coaches throughout the season to ensure the program is
running smoothly and trouble-shoots and assists as needed.
● Provides support to coaches in the county throughout the season as needed, via email or on-site
support.
● Assists in planning and implementing the regional end of season 5K
