President
● Organized full team trip to Washington, D.C. invited personally by World Bank
and IFC for March 1–3 to consult on DE&I initiatives for students in
development at the World Bank!
● Published DE&I Report on IDS Curriculum in conjunction with the DE&I team
○ Met with Professor Megan Bradley and Dr. Diana Allen to review
curriculum on February 10
● Currently in progress of preparing an IDS Career/Volunteering Job Fair
○ Meeting with EY and UNEP in the following weeks
● Development of “Enhancing Community Knowledge” Fair on Global South
issues
VP Finance
● Working in conjunction with President and VP Internal to organize sales for
merchandising
● Met with AUS VP finance to ensure budget and clarify merchandising issues
given the recent transition
VP Internal
● Merchandise has been ordered and on the way!
● First-year mixer event for students enrolled in IDS @ Gerts on February 20,
6-8pm - Join for free pizza, snacks, and trivia if you are a first year student in
IDS or considering IDS!
VP External
● Registration is now open for the International Development Policy Case
Competition (IDPCC)!
○ Thomson House* on March 18, 2023 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
○ Note: Open to all majors and students, including masters and PhD
candidates!
● Organizing Sponsorship meeting with SSMU and AUS to secure big sponsors
for IDPCC
