➢ Spent this semester facilitating the beginning of the school year among the
new members of the ASA and trying to get an office for the ASA to regularly
meet in.
❖ VP Internal
➢ Has been attending all faculty meetings (monthly)
➢ Sharing messages between professors and undergraduate student body
(fields and terrain)
➢ Currently working on feedback project for fall 2022 semester
❖ VP External
➢ Joined ASA and has been attending legislative council meetings this
semester.
➢ Has continuously updated the ASA executives about AUS politics and makes
informed decisions when voting.
❖ VP Finance
➢ Worked with fellow members to build the annual budget
➢ Updated the budget with actuals
➢ Coordinated with members of the IDSSA to ensure funding for our first event
➢ Updated the team about other funding option made available by the FMC
❖ VP Academic
➢ Worked closely with VP Communications to create posters and advertise the
listserv to new undergraduates in Anthropology.
➢ Answers student’s questions and inquiries that they can submit through our
email form. This tool has allowed VP Academic to engage with other
anthropology students and assist them in many ways.
❖ VP Events
➢ Have organized a welcome back event in collaboration with IDSSA, created a
tentative budget and schedule for events for the upcoming year.
➢ In the final stages of planning a coffee house event at Mamie Clafoutis.
➢ Have been working to plan an anthropology movie night, which is scheduled
for the start of the winter 2023 semester.
❖ VP Publications:
➢ We have formed a team of editors for the journal Fields|Terrains. In the
progress of establishing a theme for the new edition.
➢ Next semester, will work on calling for submissions, editing, and the final
publication.
❖ VP Communications
➢ Uses Instagram, Facebook, physical posters, and weekly listserv (sent to
around 800 students every Tuesday morning) to advertise events run by the
ASA, McGill departments, and local cultural organizations.
➢ Trying to increase student engagement with our listserv by making
announcements in classes and running polls on the listserv for students to
provide their opinions on ASA events.
❖ VP Creative
➢ Has been working with the other members of ASA to create posters and
graphics for our events as well as redesign the ASA logo.
❖ VP Webmaster
➢ Updated the website with the bios and pictures of the new execs.
