AUS VP Finance Report to Legislative Council
EBPC
● Now reviewing new vendor applications and working on social media outreach to
increase visibility of the committee.
● If you are using a new vendor please submit a new vendor application.
○ Departments have had issues in past years when using unvetted new vendors.
■ Not receiving merchandise on time, hidden costs, unethical production
practice, etcetera.
○ The AUS vetting process will help reduce these issues.
FMC
● FMC met on Tuesday November 19th.
○ Reviewed funding applications
Finance Procedures
● There have been some misunderstandings about the AUS Finance procedures and the
Departmental financial obligations.
● Please contact me if your Department is not clear on any of the finance procedures (or
refer to the financial training documents).
Exam and Winter Break
● I will be out of office from November 25th to December 5th during the bulk of my final
assignments/exams (office hours canceled and will be unavailable over email non-urgent
matters).
○ I will continue reviewing and releasing reimbursement requests.
○ If you have an urgent issue to address please text me at 514-833-9195
● I will be back in office on December 6th.
○ I will not have set office hours during the month of December but I will be
available to meet on a need based basis.
○ My response times may be slower than usual during the Winter break period.
