Events: We are hosting our first event, a movie night, on Tuesday, October 25th, at Sherbrooke 688. We
will be screening a Chilean film and have been coordinating with the head of Latin American Studies to
figure out all the logistics. We are also working on collaborating with Hispanic Studies professors for an
event later in the semester.
Communications
Our VP Communications have been posting regular quotes and book recommendations on our Instagram.
In collaboration with our VP Journals, they have begun creating a ‘recetario,’ a compilation of various
Latin American or Spanish recipes, thanks to professor and student submissions.
Academic
Our VP Academic and President attended the Open House on October 23rd, promoting our programs to
prospective students. She has also been meeting with various professors in the Latin American &
Caribbean Studies and Hispanic studies departments to collaborate on events and to promote the program
further.
Finance
Our VP Finance has corresponded with the AUS VP Finance to ensure we can spend money for our
movie night this week.
External
Our VP External has been in touch with some of the LLC departments to discuss collaboration.
