Report of MPSA, AUS Council
General Updates:
Co-Presidents:
● All of the interviews are finished for the remaining vacant positions, finalising
choices and then we will have a full council
○ Projected to finish by this friday
● Starting to look at the clothing catalogue, experiencing a lot of demand
VP External:
● “Psychedelic Halloween” social event Friday, Oct. 28th
● “Board game social”
○ Activities, food, “get-to-know-you”
● Went really well! Small turnout due to last minute advertising
● Stayed within the budget
VP Internal:
● Working on the tutoring program, so far successful matchups have been made
● Driven lots of interest
VP Academic:
● Looking to reinvigorate the mentorship program
○ hired a mentorship coordinator
● Data Camp for Psychology students
○ Lots of demand, well received
● New “Certified Note Seller” program (small “subscription” fee)
○ 5$ per semester to be able to sell and advertise on the MPSA facebook page
○ Prevents note-selling scamming
○ Ensures quality notes (no more complaints, MPSA not held responsible)
VP Finance:
● Finally appointed!!
● We were finally able to to finish a budget and submit to both AUS and SUS
● This also allowed us to host our first event!
