NEGOTIATING TEAM NOMINATION

In preparation for the negotiations of a July 1, 2025 successor Memorandum of Understanding

(MOU/contract), SLOCEA is seeking members interested in serving as representatives on SLOCEA’s 2025

Negotiating Teams.

• At the November 20, 2024, Board of Directors meeting, the Executive Committee will present their

slate of Negotiating Team appointment recommendations to the Board for a vote.

• Once appointments are conrmed, Negotiating Team members will be notied, and the SLOCEA

membership will be informed in the December issue of the County Blade.

Big Unit Negotiating Team consists of:

• Six total seats: President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, BU 01, BU 05, BU 13

o If any of the Ocers are not a member of the bargaining unit at the table, their seat shall

be designated as open and will be available to any member of the Big Unit.

The Role of the Negotiating Teams:

• The Negotiating Teams participate in all negotiation sessions at the Bargaining Table with

SLOCEA’s Lead Negotiator and representatives from the County

• Members of the Negotiating Team attend all Negotiating Team training and meetings and serve

for the duration of the contract.

• Serving on the Negotiating Team can be a time-consuming commitment, however attending

training and meetings is paid County-time.
