Project Santa Program
Dear Parent/Guardian,
The holidays are just around the corner, and the elves at Western Illinois Regional Council-Community Action
Agency (WIRC-CAA) are getting ready for the agency’s annual Project Santa program.
The mission of Project Santa is to provide a happy holiday full of gifts, food, and clothing to children of low-
income families living in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Warren counties in Illinois. If you are struggling
to make ends meet, we encourage you to apply for this free social service grant program.
In order to qualify for the 2021 program, your household must meet all of the following conditions:
 Your child did not receive Project Santa in 2019 or 2020.
 You live in Hancock, Henderson, McDonough or Warren County in Illinois
 Your child is not enrolled in a similar program offered by another organization
 Your household’s monthly income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines (see chart below)

If you would like to apply for Project Santa, please fill out and return the enclosed interest form to WIRC-CAA,
133 West Jackson Street, Macomb, IL 61455, or fill out the online form at https://wirpc.org/projectsanta/. The
application deadline is Friday, October 8, 2021. In mid-October, you will receive a letter from WIRC-CAA about
the status of your application.
