How will the garden look?
Featured below is a basic organization
of the garden. All the plants vary in color
and size making it pleasing to the eye.
The garden will be filled with soil and
topped with wood mulch. The location of
the garden is based on the land
available.
When will this process start?
We are going to start the planting process
Fall 2021. We will prepare the land
provided to us with the proper soil, plants,
etc. Below we attached an example
layout of the garden.
Is the garden safe?
Yes! Since many of the plants will be
located in public areas, like schools, we
made sure our plants are human and
animal friendly. We are also able to
provide some sort of fencing for the
gardens if needed.
What are the benefits of the garden?
The garden has environmental benefits,
educational benefits, and adds
aesthetic overall.
We will be planting the following
plants:
- Anemones
- Common Milkweed
- Blue Giant Hyssop
- Swamp Milkweed
- Bee Balm
- Sedges
How will this be take care of?
Leave it up to us! We will take care of
the weeds, make sure the plants
receive a sustainable amount of water,
sunlight, etc.
75%
Of the world’s
flowering plants and
crops are pollinated by
these hardworking
animals. Without
pollinators, wildlife
would have fewer
nutritious berries and
seeds to eat.
What is our mission?
Over the years, there has been a
prominent decrease in pollinators due to
disturbances such as habitat loss,
climate change, and application of
agricultural pesticides. Team 75 is
making it a mission to save them by
creating new habitats for them in our
own town. Hopefully, our initiative will be
the reason for some more buzz!
