Metal Mustangs Robotics Team Structure
FRC Team – Metal Mustangs
o 37 members
o 2 Sponsor teacher/Coach, Assistant Coach, 8 professional community
mentors encouraging academics, leadership, engagement, volunteerism,
character, public relations and STEM.
Community Outreach – Maker Faire last six years, FLL Scrimmage Host, FTC
Quali"er Host, Girl Scouts, STEM camps, TEDx KC Women, mentoring several
elementary and middle school FIRST teams
86% of students in FIRST programs have more interest in doing well in school and
87% have more interest in attending and doing well in college
More than 75% of the students involved in the Metal Mustangs Robotics team have
gone on to professions in the STEM "eld.
Hands on team experience and leadership leading to outstanding collegiate
acceptances and scholarships. KU, K-State, Olin College of Engineering, MIT,
Purdue, Naval Academy, plus countless other excellent programs.
