Newcomer Academy hosted their Annual
Student Showcase of Diversity and
Appreciation on the morning of Thursday,
June 6th. Doctors for Healthy Communities’
Dr. Waqar Saleem was on hand to support
students as they learned about the culture
and food of a variety of different cultures.

Academy Green Space Initiative
Help us develop a healthy green space at
Newcomer Academy! Together, we can
redesign our school's field so that students
and our neighbors can promote healthy
living in our community. Our field will
become a center for collaboration and
compassionate interaction through athletics
and fitness activities.

St. Vincent de Paul Receives
Much Needed Supplies
St. Vincent de Paul Louisville, a
shelter for families in need, recently
put out the call for hygiene supply
donations. Doctors for Healthy
Communities and Muslim Americans
for Compassion answered.
Our volunteers donated diapers,
deodorants, blankets and more. Thank
you to everyone who helped with this
need. St. Vincent de Paul continues to
be a great source of hope in the
