USS OKLAHOMA SSN 802 Challenge Coin Design Competition Entry Form
The United States Navy's eet is gaining a new, state-of-the-art submarine in 2027. She will be called the
USS OKLAHOMA SSN 802! Challenge coins have long been a symbol of honor, camaraderie, and
service, particularly within military circles. This competition seeks designs that will capture the spirit of
the newest submarine’s namesake - OKLAHOMA, its history, and rich heritage while honoring
submariners and their contributions to national security and global peace. Who better to have a hand in
the design than Oklahoma’s own citizens, students, and artists.
This competition is open to the public and all Oklahomans of high school age and older, regardless of
artistic experience. Each submission should be an original design for a coin approximately 1.5”
minimum up to 3” maximum in diameter, which may be round or another shape. The design must be
two-sided, with a unique design on each side. Please upload your design le(s) in one of the following
formats: .jpeg, .png, .pdf
The selected design will be produced and distributed to sponsors, Plank Owners, and VIPs as the oicial
submarine challenge coin for the commissioning events of the USS OKLAHOMA SSN 802.
