Whilst writing features, I am constantly looking for information about Plush Mattresses and
topics relevant to this.
Most modern memory foam mattresses consist of a layer of pocket springs with a further layer
(or layers) of temperature sensitive viscoelastic (aka memory foam) on top and are sometimes
advertised as “hybrid mattresses”. Some, however, consist of multiple layers of memory foam
instead of springs. Brick-and-mortar mattress stores often charge more than online retailers that
sell the same mattress. Doing some research before you buy can help you make sure you’re
getting the best price. You might find the same mattress at another store, or online, for much
cheaper. The cheaper your memory foam mattress, the higher the chances that the mattress will
go flat over time. A flat or sagging mattress is not only uncomfortable. It is also bad for your
health. A mattress that ‘hammocks’ instead of supporting your body is bad for your spine.
Mattress companies don’t brag about the height or weight of their mattresses for a very obvious
reason. If people knew how to actually test a mattress’ quality, then they wouldn’t be willing to
pay extra for dumb features, brand names, and trendy snake oil. Brick-and-mortar retail is facing
a reckoning. But specialty bedding stores and mattress warehouses aren’t going away anytime
soon since most people prefer to test mattresses in person. For the people who like to sleep on
their side, they need a surface with a lot of pressure relief. Also, they need something to support
and conform to their body shape. The most pressure relief mattresses are memory foam or the
ones with the fluffy top layer. Innerspring may have more pressure relief than mattresses made
from foam or latex. The best thing to find out is to actually test it all, with your own cushion and
night cap.
