READ CAREFULLY — THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT

By signing this Agreement, you acknowledge that you are giving up important legal rights, including the right to sue for

ordinary negligence.

For purposes of this Agreement, “Lil Barn Riding School at The Paddock Riding Club” includes all business entities,

trade names, DBAs, and property interests associated with operations conducted at the above address.

1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF INHERENT RISKS

I understand that horseback riding and equine activities are inherently dangerous and involve risks that cannot be

eliminated regardless of care, training, or supervision. These risks include, but are not limited to, serious bodily injury,

permanent disability, paralysis, and death.

2. HORSE BEHAVIOR AND ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS

I understand that horses are unpredictable animals and may buck, rear, kick, bite, bolt, stumble, fall, step on a person,

collide with people or objects, or react to sounds, wildlife, weather, terrain, equipment failure, or other horses. I further

understand that risks exist from footing, fences, gates, barns, trailers, arenas, trails, vehicles, and other participants.

3. VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly assume all risks, both known and unknown, inherent and non-inherent,

foreseeable and unforeseeable, associated with my participation in equine activities at Lil Barn Riding School at The

Paddock Riding Club, including risks arising from the ordinary negligence of the Releasees.

4. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Lil Barn

Riding School at The Paddock Riding Club and all associated Releasees from any and all claims, demands, causes of

action, damages, losses, or liabilities of any kind, whether known or unknown, INCLUDING CLAIMS BASED ON THE

ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES.

5. INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any and all claims, damages, losses,

costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to my participation in equine activities, whether

caused by negligence or otherwise.

6. CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODE §1542 WAIVER

I expressly waive the provisions of California Civil Code §1542, which states that a general release does not extend to

claims which the releasing party does not know or suspect to exist at the time of executing the release.
