Over the past week, BORO students have learned
about the function of a Human Resources
department, as well as all about a W4 form and the
other paperwork that must be submitted when hired
for a job.
This valuable vocational lesson was prompted by
some exciting news... the Sugar Shack is set to begin
paying students for their work after school and on
Saturdays!
Thanks to a generous donation of seed money, and
ongoing support generated through our GoFundMe
campaign, many of our students are in the process of
becoming Westborough Public Schools employees so
they can begin to be paid for their work (safely done,
for now, entirely in our non-public production room).
We are thrilled to be taking this next step in the
growth of our program!
