GROWING ONE FUTURE
VOLUNTEER LABOR RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
This Volunteer Labor Release and Waiver of Liability (“Agreement”) is entered into by the undersigned
(“Volunteer”) in favor of Growing One Future, a Hawaii-based nonprofit organization, its directors, officers,
employees, agents, partners, property owners, and assigns (collectively, “GOF”).
1. Voluntary Participation
I understand and acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in activities at the GOF project site, located in
Hawaiian Acres, Keaʻau, Hawaiʻi. These activities may include, but are not limited to: planting, harvesting,
weeding, composting, lifting heavy materials, using tools, building structures, animal care, and participating in
educational programs. These activities may occur on-site or off-site and may involve transportation arranged or
coordinated by GOF.
2. Assumption of Risk
I recognize that agricultural and outdoor work involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: injuries from
tools or equipment, falls, animal and insect bites or stings, exposure to heat or inclement weather, and potential
encounters with animals or allergens. I acknowledge these risks and freely and knowingly assume full
responsibility for my participation, including any injury, illness, or other outcome that may result, whether
known or unknown.
3. Release and Waiver
I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Growing One Future (“GOF”), its officers, directors,
employees, agents, volunteers, property owners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, liabilities,
damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs) arising out of or related to
any personal injury, illness (including communicable diseases), property damage, or death that may occur as a
result of or in connection with my participation in volunteer activities on or off GOF premises. This release
applies whether the cause is due to negligence, acts of nature, actions of third parties, or any other cause, to the
fullest extent permitted by applicable law. I acknowledge that I am voluntarily engaging in these activities and
fully assume any and all risks associated with such participation.
4. Medical Treatment
In the event of illness or injury during my volunteer service, I authorize GOF and its representatives to secure
emergency medical treatment as deemed necessary. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for any
costs incurred as a result of such treatment, including but not limited to transportation, hospitalization,
medications, and follow-up care. I release GOF from any liability arising from or related to such emergency
medical treatment decisions.
