Measuring Consumer Perception of Online Shopping Convenience among
Different College Students in Surat City

ABSTRACT
Online shopping is the process of buying and selling of goods and services through internet.
Moreover, consumers will purchase the products directly from producers without any
intermediaries or middlemen. It saves for lots of precious time, energy and money. This
study is conducted with the objectives of analyzing and understating the consumer’s
perception towards online shopping Convenience among Different College Students in Surat
City and try to understand various problems faced by consumers at the time of online
shopping and also gives effective solutions to overcome such problems. For this purpose, the
data from 225 respondents were collected in the form of questionnaires. On the basis of data
analysis, it is found that most of the customers were perceived that online shopping is better
option than manual shopping and most of the customers were satisfied with their online
shopping transactions. Majority of the Respondents use Flip Cart and Amazon to purchase
online clothes, use Swiggy and Zomato to purchase Online Food and use Makemytrip to
Online Hotel Booking. Most disturbing barrier for online shopping was customers have to
give their credit card number and they can’t see products personally. Customers agree with
the statement that online shopping is more expensive than manual shopping, its take more
time to deliver the products and they are facing problems while making online purchases.
Tables and charts were used to translate responses into meaningful information to get the
most out of the collected data. Based on those the inferences have been drawn with peer
