ABSTRACT:
Non Performing Assets are one of the major concerns for banking sector in India. It is also
called NPAs in finance sector. Any assets of a bank become NPA when interest of any of the
dues of the remains unpaid for more than 90 days, the whole asset is classified as NPA. Here
we have studied about NPA of Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank and Saurashtra Gramin Bank.
The main objectives of the study are to compare Standard¸ Sub-standard, Doubtful and Loss
assets of both banks and their credit risk management during the period of year 2015-16 to
2018-19.Simple table and charts are used to analyze the secondary data which are collected
from bank's website. The results revealed that the assets quality of Saurashtra Gramin Bank
is very good as compare to Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank in term of amount and %. The
study also found that Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank needs a look at its policy of managing
credit portfolio.
