Abstract
In today’s world, security is major issue, during data transmission. The use of the web
exceeds day by day. Security of data is a challenging issue in today’s hi-tech world as well as
protection of assets. Cryptography plays a main role within the field of network security.
There are various security algorithms available for securing networks. Cryptography is used
to protect user’s data by encryption and decryption. Cryptography provides confidentiality,
integrity, authentication during access or editing of confidential internal documents.
Cryptography is a popular ways of sending vital information in a secret way. Today
Cryptography is everywhere! In this paper we have studied various research papers of
comparisons and based on that concluded that primary which encryption algorithm would be
better for our future research. We have tried to do comparative analysis on symmetric and
asymmetric algorithms like AES, DES, 3DES, RC4, RC6,Blowfish,RSA, MUGI, Serpent,
AREA,Salsa20, etc.
