ABSTRACT
Working Capital of any business is just like blood circulation system in the human body.
Working capital management affects the liquidity and profitability of the business. To
conduct this study top three automotive companies are selected which are listed on BSE on
the basis of market capitalization. The study covers three automobile companies and the
selected automotive companies are MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA LTD, TATA MOTORS LTD
and MAHINDRA AND MAHINDRA LTD. The study covers a period of five years starting
from 2014-15 to 2018-19. The data collected to conduct this study are from secondary
sources. The data has been analyzed through parametric Anova and Non-Parametric Kruskal
Wallis test to measure the profitability and liquidity of the selected companies. Shapiro Wilk
test is conducted to test the normality of data.

INTRODUCTION
Working Capital Management is also known as short term financial management which is
