Abstract
Financial inclusion means that individuals and business have access to useful and affordable
financial products and services that meet their needs- transactions, payments, savings, credit
and insurance- delivered in a responsible and sustainable way. The 70 percent of Indian
population resides in rural areas and majority of their livelihood depends on agriculture and
allied activities. In India, there huge numbers of people are poor and the financial inclusion is
better way to strengthen the weaker section. The present study tries to investigate the
perception towards financial inclusion in Rural areas. For the study the primary data were
collected from the rural areas of Gujarat state. The outcome of present paper will be helpful
in designing the strategies of financial inclusion for rural areas in terms of perception.

Introduction
The term financial inclusion can be defined as providing financial services which includes
banking services and credit at an affordable cost to all sections of the society. The concept of
