Abstract
This paper mainly focused on FASTag effectiveness in India. It is one new mechanism for
toll collection process. FASTag system is one electronic toll collection system reduces
manual work load using RFID technology this system reduces envier mental, social-
economical problems. This system not only beneficial for users but is also useful for toll
collector, governments, social society and business community. FASTag Statistics data on
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCL) website also showed improvements in toll
revenue of toll plazas. For the analysis and evaluation of FASTag effectiveness researcher
used t test statistic it is also indicated appropriate results of FASTag system.

1. Introduction
After the United States of America India has second largest road network in the world
India has a network 5,897,671 kilometres of roads. The length of national highways in India
1,42,146 kilometres The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), a main agency of
the Ministry of road transport and Highways is responsible for preservation and the growth
of the highways. Due to high population growth increases numbers of vehicles on the roads
