Three ways to Disable Automatic updates Windows 10?
There are several things that make it more difficult for us than software updates.
Windows users often joke about the updates they get because it's taking so long
(yes, you have to initiate the update overnight). Three ways to
Disable Automatic
updates Windows 10 are below:
Option 1: Disable Windows Update service.
Windows Update is basically just another Windows service and can be disabled in
a similar way to any other service. To turn off automatic updates in Windows 10,
do the following:
1. Activate the Run command (Win + R). Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
2. Select the Windows Update service from the list of services.
3. Click the General tab and change the Startup Type to Disabled.
If you want to turn automatic updates back on, do the same thing, except that
you select Automatic when you select Enable Type.
Option 2: Make a metered connection
If you connect your Windows 10 computer to the internet via WiFi, you can set up
metered connections. With a metered connection, bandwidth is saved by simply
downloading and installing priority updates automatically.
To turn off Windows 10 updates:
1. Open the Windows Settings app (Win + I).
2. Click the Network & Internet tab.
3. Open Wi-Fi and click Manage Known Networks.
