Skills Competition Events & Information
The St. Louis Clydesdales are an all-first responders baseball team in St. Louis. They will be organizing a special event on
8/31/24 at the Capaha Baseball Field. Join us for a Skills Competition where participants ages 7-14 can compete with
basic skills of batting, running and pitching. The admission ticket for the Skills Competition includes competing with
youth and out first responders organizing the event, entry to the Backyard Ball Game from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and a St.
Louis Clydesdales Competition T-Shirt for all participants. Medals and awards will be presented during halftime of our
Backyard Baseball Game!

Clydesdales admission is $20 per youth.
Purchase of these tickets include
admission for Skills camp and Backyard
Baseball Event at 6PM. Payment is
required at time time of sign up and
you will receive your digital printable
ticket after confirmation of purchase.
You can pay for your ticket with options
of PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App on your
payment method you must include
your email in order to submit your
digital ticket. No refunds will be
submitted after purchase.

Participants
The competition is open to both female and
male participants aged 7-14. They will
compete in three separate events: pitching,
hitting, and running. Scoring will be based on
points and will account for age differentials
along with overall best performance.
Age Divisions
The competition is divided into two main
categories: Baseball and Softball. Each
category has the following age divisions:
Baseball Division Softball Division
(Male) (Female)
7-8 Age Division 7-8 Age Division
9-10 Age Division 9-10 Age Division
11-12 Age Division 11-12 Age Division
13-14 Age Division 13-14 Age Division
Events
Participants will compete in the following events:
Pitching- Testing Accuracy Skills by Pitching 5 Baseballs/ 11in/12in
Softballs at target
Hitting- Testing Distance Youth Can Hit Off Stationary Batting T
Running- Testing Running Speeds from Home to First Base
Scoring
Points will be awarded based on performance in each event.
Scores will be calculated considering age differentials.
An overall best performance score will also be determined.

Awards
All Trophies & Awards will be presented during halftime of the
Backyard Baseball Game Players must be present to receive
award!
MVP Trophy- Best in All Categories: Awarded to the participant
with the highest combined score across all events and age groups
Females & Males
Category Awards (Age Divisions):
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for each age division in each
event.
Participation Awards: Given to all participants.
