What is matter? Do matters undergo changes?
C. Motivation
What are the latest issues about environmental changes that is
occurring in Central Visayas (Bohol and Cebu) and in Zamboanga?

D. Lesson Proper
a. Pre-Lab Discussion
Introduction of the materials:
Each group must have the following:
10 empty match boxes
10 pcs. safety match sticks
1 tin can cover (large size)
b. Laboratory Proper
Procedure A (Earthquake)
1. Construct a building of the 5 empty match boxes.
2. Put the match sticks on top of the last match box serving
as a roof of the building.
3. Shake the table and observe what happens to the
building you make.
Procedure B (Community Burning)
1. Reconstruct the building using the 3 empty match boxes.
One for each side and the other one is the roof of the
building.
2. Build a fire out of the building made.
3. Observe the changes that may occur.
