CONTRACT FOR DJ SERVICES
This contract (herein called “Contract”) for the disc jockey services on the event described below and between
the undersigned purchaser of disc jockey services (herein called “Client”) and Carter J Roeser Events (herein
called “Contractor”) have agreed to be bound by said terms and conditions listed below.
1. The Contractor must have easy access to the entrance closest to the area where services will be
performed. The Client understands that the Contractor may charge the Client an additional fee for
fees resulting from parking if agreed upon before the event and ay be factored into the agreed
price.
2. The Client will be responsible for providing sufficient setup space for the Contractor’s equipment
and sufficient power supply (a minimum of __ 20-Amp circuits within 50 feet of the setup space).
Any delay in the performance or damage to Contractor’s equipment due to improper power is the
responsibility of the Client. The Contractor is not responsible for any mechanical failures due to
floor structures, power outages, etc. at the chosen location site.
3. It is understood that if this is a "Rain or Shine" event, the Contractors compensation is in no way
affected by inclement weather. If the event is outside, shelter (in the form of a tent or similar) must
be provided. The Contractor reserves the right, in good faith, to stop or cancel services should the
weather pose a potential danger to him, the equipment, or the audience. The Contractor's
compensation will not be affected by such cancellation.
4. A written event timeline/music planner or music request list must be received from the Client and
forwarded to the Contractor at least two weeks prior to the date of the engagement for it to be
included in the Contractor’s programming guidelines. The Contractor will give their best effort to
play all of the agreed upon musical playlists which were requested by the Client and are
appropriate for the event. The Contractor will not be responsible if musical selections are not
available that were not requested prior. Furthermore, the Contractor reserves the right to use their
professional discretion during an event to ensure a successful event.
5. The Client agrees to pay the Contractor at the end of the agreed event in cash or check made
payable to Carter J Roeser Events. The Client agrees the Contractor can but is not expected to
start the music until the time designated in this Contract. In addition, the Client understands that
the Contractor will setup their equipment 120 minutes prior to the start-time and will pack up their
equipment for 60 minutes after the end-time, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Client and
Contractor.
6. The Client agrees to pay the Contractor at least ¼ of the agreed upon price as a deposit. This
Contract must be signed and dated by the Client and the required deposit provided to the
Contractor 60 days prior to the Event Date, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Client and
Contractor. If this Contract is not signed and dated by the Client and provided to the Contractor
with the required deposit 60 days prior to the Event Date unless otherwise agreed upon by the
Client and Contractor, this Contract is void.
