Re: Connecticut Statewide EMS Protocols
As many of you know, The Department of Public Health has approved the first version of the Connecticut
Statewide EMS Protocols, which were released via the Connecticut EMS Medical Advisory Committee
(CEMSMAC) and the Connecticut EMS Advisory Board (CEMSAB) in July. The full document can be
found on the Statewide EMS Protocols page of the OEMS website.
OEMS supports the goal of statewide implementation, as previously discussed at the CEMSMAC and the
CEMSAB, by December 31, 2016. Implementation for each EMS organization is under the direction of
their sponsor hospital.
We are grateful for all the positive, constructive feedback and support this initiative has prompted from
the EMS community.
The Connecticut Statewide Emergency Medical Services Protocols reflect our shared commitment to
enhance prehospital care across Connecticut.
