Basic Knowledge
Water Capacity – 635 gallons
Foam Capacity and Type – 10 gallons Forestry class A
Fuel – types and fill locations for truck and pump
Vehicle Operation
Ability to start and drive vehicle vehicle in a safe manner on and
off road
Ability to locate and use all cab switches and functions of cab
switched components
Ability and locate of parking brake
Ability to locate all firefighting loose equipment
Ability to engage 6X6 and transfer case low range and
understands limitations for low range use ( no reverse in low
range)
Understands limitations of vehicle on and off road with high
center of gravity
Understands maximum water depth vehicle can travel in
Pump Operation
Ability to start fire pump ( use of fuel shut off, choke, and throttle)
