Ashley Community Consolidated School District #15
Remote Learning Plan
2019-20
Ashley CCSD #15 Administration and Ashley Education Association IEA/NEA have
worked together to develop a Remote Learning Plan in the event that school would need
to be remotely conducted. During the time that our school is closed, the district will be
following this plan. All days shall be deemed pupil attendance days for calculation of
the length of the school calendar.
Remote Learning Days
1. Remote learning is significantly different than statutory eLearning Plans and our
district will implement certain strategies that apply to specific situations within
our school community.
2. Our district will use a variety of strategies to meet each unique need (technology
and student work packets).
3. Student time-on-task during the school closure will be age appropriate.
4. No student will be academically penalized during the school closure.
5. All students are expected to actively participate in remote learning opportunities
and school personnel will regularly communicate with students and families.
