MINUTES OF THE ASHLEY COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL
DISTRICT #15 SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
AUGUST 3, 2020
Board President Jeff Stern called the special board meeting to order at
5:30 pm. Members present: Jeff Stern, Jeff Pelka, Terry Schettler, Kayla
Pedtke, Tammy Ebert and John Lanham. Member absent: Ross Schultze.
Public Recognition: Angela Smith, Jami Rollie and Jim Melton were present
for the meeting.
Motion made by Jeff Stern and seconded by Tammy Ebert to enter closed
session at 5:32 pm for the purpose of considering the appointment,
employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of
specific employees or legal counsel of the public body, and including, but
not limited to, the interviewing of applicants for the special education
resource teaching position.

Motion made by Jeff Stern and seconded by Terry Schettler to return to
public session at 6:21 pm.

John Lanham Motion carried: 6-0.
Motion made by Jeff Stern and seconded by Terry Schettler to approve Jim
Melton as the Dean of Students. This will be for the 2020-2021 school
year with a $4,000 stipend. If the school goes to all remote learning, the
stipend will be prorated. Mr. Hodge and Mr. Melton will work together on a
job description.
